FNX Mining Company Fiscal 2006 for FNX was a year of many records and achievements. The shortfall in global nickel supply saw the nickel price reach US$16 per pound during the year, setting a historic high. As the year progressed, it became abundantly clear that the supply shortfall for nickel was going to last longer than most authorities anticipated. During the year, the market saw several nickel laterite mega-projects delayed, cancelled or subject to large cost overruns.
